Life Events

Weddings
Unitarians believe in the equality of all. We are aware that the traditional style of wedding may not be right for everyone, or how they wish to celebrate their relationship.
When planning your marriage ceremony, it is important that the ceremony is relevant to you both, and reflect your relationship.

Welcoming Children
Unitarians offer ceremonies to welcome children to all, regardless of personal beliefs, or religious affiliation. These may be in the form of a Naming, Blessing, or Baptism.
Our ceremonies do not require any set promises, need for God Parents, or Sponsors, unless that is your wish. We would be pleased to include anyone in the ceremony who you feel has a role to play in the life of your child, or family.

Funerals
Unitarian funerals do not follow a set format, and may take place in a Church, Crematorium, graveside or a garden. Our aim is to provide a ceremony which would be tailored to reflect the life, and beliefs if any, in a way personal to yourself, or the one who has died, as well as those of the people who mourn them.
Should you wish to discuss planning your funeral, we would be happy to help you explore the options available to you, and perhaps make suggestions which would meet the wishes and needs of yourself, and of your family.
