Update

AGM 2026

Many thanks to everyone who attended the St. Mark’s AGM last Sunday.

Members voted to approve the Trustees’ Report and Accounts for 2025.

As usual the previous Council stood down and were then re-elected having agreed to stand again. No new nominations were received.

The Council consulted briefly and Julie Finneran was elected as Convenor, Jill Woolman as treasurer and Elyse Jacks as secretary, all posts that they held the previous year. Other Council members are Joan Cook, Ann Sinclair and Bridget Cook.

Jill Woolman was particularly thanked for her hard work as treasurer and for producing the accounts.

Our external Auditor, Susanne Urquhart was thanked for her freely given time in auditing our accounts.

Joan Cook passed on the role of Pulpit Supplies to Rev. Janine Sim and was warmly thanked for her hard work in this role.

We want to hear from you!

Imagining the Next Chapter @St Mark's

The team is keen to hear your thoughts on the future of St Mark’s.

We’d love to know what gatherings, groups, and events you’d like to see, how you prefer to connect and communicate with us, and how together we can shape the next 250 years of the Unitarian community in Edinburgh.

artSpace@StMarks

Festival Fringe volunteers needed!

artSpace@StMarks is again presenting a programme within the Festival Fringe programme at venue 125.

During the three weeks we’ll have some 66 performances.

There are new faces and many old friends. It looks a really exciting programme. Our pianist Ailsa is giving two concerts and Jamie is giving six performances of folklore and music of the Scottish Highlands.

I’ve already approached many folk who have helped us in previous Festivals, but if you would like to volunteer to help by looking after the box office or with looking after our guests by being ushers, please get in touch with Ann at:  councilunitariansinedinburgh@gmail.com

Training is given; it’s good fun and also raises the profile of our church.
