St Mark's Church in Castle Terrace has been our place of meeting for worship and celebrations for almost two hundred years.

You would be very welcome to join us at:
Service any Sunday at 11.00a.m.
Mindfulness@Lunchtime any Tuesday at 12.15p.m.
or check out our Current Courses and Groups
As Unitarians:
we are not required to assent to any creed or statement of faith; the emphasis is on being true to oneself
we recognise the worth and dignity of all peoples and their freedom to believe as their conscience dictates
we have reverence for life in all its forms and are concerned for the integrity of our relationships with all others and the environment we all share
we celebrate the dignity of differences between religions as a precious asset of humanity

by Jon Bagust
Years ago, I recall a remark by Andrew Hill, our minister at the time. We were waiting in the vestibule, ready to leave, but there were still one or two stragglers who remained behind chatting together, as usual, which prompted Andrew's remark - 'it's the glue'! - It's the glue that binds together. Just like the binding together of pieces of pottery using the Japanese method of Kintsugi.
I know I've shared thoughts once before, about the art of Kintsugi. I'll do so again but this time with comments by Andrea Mantovani from the University of Bologna.
Pastoral Care Team
The members of our pastoral care team are volunteers. While between us we share considerable experience, we are not professionals in this field and we don’t know all the answers, but we do know where to look for them and we can guide you to helpful sources of support.

New: Listening Ears Volunteer Group
‘Listening Ear’ Conversation can make a difference particularly for those who have difficulty in getting out and about.
The Pastoral Care Team would like to set up an informal group of people who would be available as buddies either by telephone or for zoom calls.
If you would like to be a 'listening ear' or would like someone to listen to you, please email Jane Aaronson at jane.aaronson@edinburgh-unitarians.org.uk
