“When I first came to St Mark's I was not looking to join a church. I was curious about different faiths and how people lived them and I wanted to experience this first hand.

Much to my surprise, on my first visit I felt more like a participant than an observer. I felt welcomed and at home. It was not like my previous experiences of religion. No one tried to persuade me to ascribe to a particular set of propositions.

Rather than policing beliefs, Unitarians are united by values, community and charity. Sunday services remind me to live my values. They remind me to be more generous, to be a better listener, to be more tolerant and more forgiving.

From my first visit St Marks drew me in. I kept coming back and I am very happy to be able to count myself as a member today."
